Gaurav is the Founder CEO of Wadhawan Holdings Private Limited, the holding entity for the Wadhawan Group. At 34 years, he is one of the youngest leaders in the group with a successful track record of handling diverse roles in finance, general management, information technology and investment banking. He is a graduate chemical engineer with a post graduate degree in management with a specialization in finance.

Under the leadership of Gaurav Modwel, Wadhawan Holdings has been responsible for transforming the group from a single company entity into a group with diversified interests in various sectors.

The key achievement of Gaurav in the last three years has been his ability to successfully drive change and growth. Change for creating that enabling environment which is necessary for embarking upon growth.

In the initial years with the group, Gaurav was a part of the management team which remodeled DHFL into a professionally run outfit with new systems and thoughts. He has spearheaded various developmental initiatives organization-wide, be it in business development, finance, planning, budgeting, performance management and new product development.

In a career spanning 11 years, Gaurav has pursued his passion for creating products and businesses, working with green field ventures of leading groups like Times of India and TCG (The Chatterjee Group). He led the development of financial B-2-B platform coop. Riskxpress.com and AuctionXpress for trading in Government of India Securities and Commercial papers among financial institutions. This being the first ever web based financial trading platform in India. He has led the development of "planter's net", a part of prestigious "e-choupal" initiative.
